Psychological effects of puberty blockers on young people may be worse than placebo.

An analysis¹ comparing psychological effects of puberty blockers on teenagers with gender dysphoria with existing research on placebo effects for various mental health conditions found that placebo effects appeared to be at least as strong as the effect of puberty blockers, if not stronger.
