Around 25–50% of transmen and 5–10% of transwomen have had genital surgery.

Based on a 2019 review, genital surgery¹ as part of medical transition is generally less common than chest surgery, with reported rates of 25–50% for transmen (natal females) and 5–10% for transwomen (natal males). These estimates come from a range of surveys and clinical reports.
